The Docks --- Pencil

I drew this layout for my portfolio at the end of my fourth year at Sheridan. I am a huge fan of the 30s-50s crime fiction movies, and I wanted to do something with a similar theme. The docks are a perfect crime hangout - you have access to import, export, and an easy getaway. Ciggarette butts litter the ground around the door where a goon would hang out to cover the door from the outside. This was the first layout that I drew with this method. I blew the rough up digitally, and printed it twice as large over 4 sheets. It helped me achieve a more uniform looking line quality on the smaller details on the boat.
